Iranian-American military clashes to have terrible consequences: expert
The threats of the U.S. administration in the pre-context of Iran’s nuclear deal were predictable as U.S. President Donald Trump is obviously dissatisfied with the relations with that country, expert in Iranian sciences Vardan Voskanyan said, speaking to Aysor.am, referring to the U.S. President’s statement about possible military conflict with Iran. “The U.S. Administration is dissatisfied especially with the nuclear contract, considering it as unfairness. But it is an opinion of only one country as all the parties of the nuclear deal – Iran, Russia, EU countries, UN Security Council member states are for the deal,” the expert said. “The Iranian side is against reviewing the agreement and signing a new one with the USA and naturally displays rather tough position. The Iranians consider that the international agreement has been violated by the USA and this country must return to constructive dialogue,” Voskanyan stressed. He stressed that the rhetoric of the two parties has become rather tough with Iran stating on its part that it gives time to all the other countries involved in the deal to regulate the existing issues. “But to expect military clashes between the USA and Iran in at least near future is impossible as all know what terrible consequences it will have for the whole Middle East region. Consequently, the possibility of such clashes is not logical,” the expert said. Summing up, Voskanyan stressed that the final goal of the United States is the change of Iranian administration which in practice is impossible. The other goal of the USA is restriction of Iran’s presence in the Middle East region, and Iraq and Syria in particular. U.S. President Donald Trump urged the Iranian leadership to sit at the table of negotiations and discuss with him the issue of Tehran’s rejection of the nuclear program. In his statement he did not exclude the military conflict considering the escalation of the situation between the two countries.
